Celebrating the 40th Episode of the Abounding Faith for Today Podcast

Please join me in celebrating the 40th episode of the Abounding Faith for Today Podcast!

This introverted INFJ (who isn’t very techie) didn’t know how she would feel about hosting and producing a podcast. This former journalist didn’t have any radio or podcasting experience (and this was way before the pandemic podcast boom).

My comfort zone is behind a computer or with my pen in hand.

But God!

I kept feeling drawn to speak …

God has called me to write and speak for His glory. So, I’ve gotten more comfortable behind the mic whether it’s been at live events and services (pre-pandemic), on camera or simply just with my microphone.

This exhorter and evangelist delights in encouraging YOU as you walk by abounding faith, hope and love and dare to live your God-given dreams.

I’ve shared some of my favorite Bible verses, excerpts from my five Christian living books and devotionals, thoughts on grief and loads of encouragement and prayers in the different episodes and during my Feisty Faith Chats. I’ve also delighted in sharing empowering messages during my Motivational Monday Coaching Messages.

Debuted as a Devotional Message Team Member for My CWEN Sisters

What an honor and delight to help encourage and empower my CWEN sisters last Thursday during my debut as a member of their Devotional Message Team. I’ll be sharing inspiring messages twice a month based on entries from the Feisty Faith: Trusting God Day by Day 365-day devotional (available on Amazon).

Over the years since that spectacular September when God chased me down in Sydney, I’ve had the great honor and privilege of ministering to a diverse group of people including:

  • Christian college and Bible school students
  • Christians working at the United Nations
  • Strangers on the street during outreaches
  • Women in shelters
  • The homeless and needy on the street and in soup kitchens/shelters
  • Nursing home residents
  • Youth and adults in Brazil, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Honduras and Peru
  • My peers and church family and friends, etc…

I’m so grateful my Readers (who are located on 5 continents, in 10 countries outside of the U.S. and in 15 states) and those who have attended my events are a beautiful mix of women and men of diverse backgrounds, ages and life stages. Abounding Faith’s Bible-based books have encouraged Pastors, Pastors’ wives, missionaries, chaplains, Sunday school teachers, Christian counselors and Ministry Leaders as well as new believers.

I now have the great delight of helping to encourage and empower Christian female entrepreneurs near and far through online devotional messages.

WHY am I sharing this?

Wanna know what I’ve noticed?

Regardless of a person’s age, title, experience, background or bank account …

People are hurting. People need the Lord!

I’m honored whenever the Lord sees fit to use me to help touch even one soul, whether it’s in person, virtually or through my writing…

to God be the Glory!

I appreciate your continued prayers and support and encouragement as I live out God’s call on my life in this season.

God knows what’s on the other side of our YES!

I’m in awe of all that God has done through Abounding Faith these last couple of years and there’s more to come. God is Good!

Reflections on a Few Summer Surprises

The Lord saw it fit to surprise me this summer in a few ways including these opportunities (pictured above) to teach and speak.
 
I’m grateful for every opportunity I get to encourage and inspire groups as they walk by faith and live their God-given dreams!
 
It was a blessing to teach a summer class at the New York School of the Bible in June based on one of my books and then to teach a Life Skills class at The Bowery Mission’s Women’s Center in July based on another one of my books. It was also a delight to share testimonies at a local church and lead Chapel at The Bowery Mission’s Tribeca site.

 

God is so Good!

 

None of these speaking and teaching opportunities were on my calendar at the beginning of the year, but God already had them planned.

 

We just need to be available and willing. God knows what’s on the other side of our Yes!

 

I’m looking forward to continuing to share messages of hope with more groups.

Reflections on Sharing Encouraging Testimonies at a Local Church

It was an honor to share an encouraging word with my friends at Eternal Hope Ministries for two Sundays in a row.

I was delighted when my friend Pastor Gary Fishman invited me to share a testimony at both of the services he was covering for my friends Pastors Peter and Margo Kemp.

Pastor Gary has been a strong prophetic voice and a great encourager to me in this season of my life. I’m also grateful for the Kemps’  friendship and prayers over the years.

It was a blessing to see my friends at this sweet congregation,  and to meet a few new friends.

God surprised me with these two ministry opportunities.

I’m looking forward to having more surprises to share very soon. God is Good!
