Let’s SOAR Together at Abounding Faith’s Women’s Conference this Saturday!

It’s kind of surreal to know that my very first women’s conference is this Saturday!

I count it a privilege and honor to speak about my Lord and to encourage others to believe God and to live out their God-given dreams! I’m so grateful for every audacious dreamer and doer who is setting aside time in her busy schedule to be at Abounding Faith’s SOAR Women’s Conference! I have been praying and preparing for this event. I’m trusting that God will bless and meet each lady right where they are in their faith journey!

I believe God wants to birth new dreams and resurrect a few dreams for the women who are there on Saturday!

I’m delighted that the ladies attending the event are of different ages, life stages, backgrounds, and churches. The women are going to be a lovely mosaic and reflection of the beauty found in NYC!

I’m so thankful for all my volunteers and those individuals who have generously sponsored this event. I couldn’t hold these events without them! I’m also grateful to my friends at Our Daily Bread and TBN NY for providing prizes for the fun raffles we will be having.

Reflections on Crossing Your Jordan River’s Book Launch Event

After all the writing, editing, and production deadlines are done, it’s always a blessing to get to celebrate the launch of a new book with family and friends!

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped me celebrate the release of Crossing Your Jordan River: How to Possess and Prosper in Your Promised Land (available on Amazon).

Looking at these pictures makes me smile!

I’m so touched that these friends would come and support what God is doing in and through my life! Many of them have come to several of my events. I appreciate all their encouragement!

I’m grateful to my wonderful volunteers and to Open Bible Church International for once again opening their doors for one of my events!

I pray that those who attend my events (including my upcoming women’s conference)  and those who read my books are inspired and encouraged to follow God with their whole hearts and to trust Him to lead and guide them.

Crossing Your Jordan River Book On Sale Now!

I’m excited to announce that Crossing Your Jordan River: How to Possess and Prosper in Your Promised Land is now available in print and on Kindle on Amazon.

I pray you’ll be blessed by reading my latest book! If you are blessed, please leave a kind and short review on Amazon and tell your friends, family, and small group members about it as well.

Crossing Your Jordan River picks up where Waiting on God Well and Abounding Faith leave off. It includes Power Verses, Reflection Questions, Prayer Starters, and has blank lines for you to journal your thoughts just as Books 1 and 2 do.

Would you believe I didn’t set out to write this “trilogy” of books? God just worked it out this way.

I may have grown up writing in my journals and gone on to get a master’s degree in journalism from NYU and write for The New York Times, but I didn’t think about writing books until much later. I think that’s why I’m in awe when I see this picture of my author page on Amazon.

Only God could do this! I’m humbled that God would allow me to write another book that honors Him.

I’ll have plenty of thoughts to share after my upcoming book launch event.

For now, I’ll share this description of Crossing Your Jordan River:

Abounding Faith Books Update

As I gear up to release my third book in April, I’d like to take a moment to share a few updates about my first two books. I’m honored and humbled to see how the Lord is opening doors and allowing my books to reach even more readers!

I’m delighted that Bible study groups have started studying Waiting on God Well and that it is on the approved reading list for The Bowery Mission Women’s Center.

I’m excited that Waiting on God Well and Abounding Faith will also be sold in a new bookstore opening in California in May! I will be sure to share more details soon!

3 Journal Writing Prompts to Help You Wait on God Well!

What promises are you waiting on God to fulfill in your life? Whether you’re waiting for a breakthrough in your professional or personal life, I encourage you to record your thoughts in a journal. It’s helpful to write out your prayer requests, praise reports, and reflections.

Need a little inspiration to get started journaling?

I’d like to share 3 journal writing prompts that are inspired by my book Waiting on God Well: How to Prevent Breaking Down on Your Way to Your Breakthrough (available on Amazon).

I hope you will prayerfully respond to the following questions in your journal:

  • The Bible verses that I am standing on in this season are …
  • The Bible character that most inspires me right now is …
  • Today I am grateful for …

One of the best things about jotting down your thoughts is that you can always go back and read them at a later date and hopefully be encouraged by how God delivered you from certain circumstances and gave you the grace to endure other situations.

Happy 4th Blogversary!

I can hardly believe that my 4th Blogversary is here. How in the world haven’t I run out of lessons, musings, adventures, and news to share with you?

As I’ve said in the past, I will continue to write and speak as long as the Lord keeps giving me something to say.

I’m grateful that you continue to show up and read my posts. Quite a few of you have been with me since my very first posts. How lovely! Thank you!

I’m also thankful to those of you who took a moment to fill out my recent Reader Survey. I’m touched to hear that you are being blessed by my blog and my books.

A reader comment that stood out to me was:

“Waiting on God Well gave me time to address a deep prayer request of my heart I had sort of ‘buried.” I took your book on a plane trip, underlined and prayed my way thru, even journaling some. Thank you for your encouragement!”
