7 Bible Verses to Encourage Fellow Evangelists as You Share Your God Story – Nancy Gavilanes

As I continue celebrating how God met us during my first time teaching the Sharing Your God Story online NYSB course this past spring, I’m rejoicing that we got to glean insight from the Bible about why and how to share Jesus with others and I was able to share parts of my testimony, stories from my years of evangelism training and my years of going on five short-term missions trips to five countries and years of helping to lead evangelism outreaches.

If your heart is being stirred to share Jesus with others, I’d like to share a few Bible verses that have encouraged me over the years. You can find a few Bible verses I previously shared in this blog post.

First, here’s the Gospel message in a nutshell: “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 NIV).

What an honor and privilege it is to share about Jesus’ sacrificial death for our sins, His burial, and His glorious resurrection and triumph over sin and death!

Here’s 7 Bible Verses to Encourage My Fellow Evangelists:

The Great Commission Continues – “When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (Matthew 28: 17-20 NIV)

We’re Called to be Christ’s Ambassadors – “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV)

Soul Winning is Wise – “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (Proverbs 11:30 KJV)

Pray for Boldness – :”For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16 NIV)

It’s Go Time! “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” (Isaiah 6:8 NIV)

Let’s Go Fishing! – “’Come, follow me,’” Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’” (Matthew 4:19 NIV)

Share the Good News – “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” (Romans 10:14 – 15 NIV)
